I have this laptop with the 4090. I have also had the Razer Blade and a Dell XPS. I would not compare this to the XPS or MacBook. Those are still definitely thinner and significantly lighter. They have much, much better battery life (esp. the MacBooks). And, as unibody aluminum and carbon fiber devices, those feel more premium. Just a single, solid unit. This feels very solid, but nothing feels as solid as a unibody design. Where this does excel at is buttloads of power in a still very thin and (for the category) lightweight design with no gamery looks and of course that display. If you accept it for what it is, it really is a unicorn device. It compares well to the Blade lineup this year because to get the MiniLED display on the Blade you have to get the 4090 and that is $800 more than the 4090 edition on this one. For the same price as the Blade 4080 you get a thinner, tighter, better equipped laptop that is 90% as premium. That's a big win.

I am using HDR monitor and Windows handles HDR well in all cases.
HDR means it can show full capabilities of display you have like brightness and full colour gamut and full colour volume.
Now almost 98% content and creative tasks uses dcip3, ntse, adobe rgb, rec.2020.
Windows is easily showing and handling all things well as it should.

The display really is the star of the show! 1, 000+ nits of brightness is no joke. Mine had some blooming but of course that is expected with mini-LED

Only the 4090 has the mini led display with 1100 nits. The 4070 has about 500 nits and a ips display

The Zenbook 14 pro 120hz oled 4070 is the unicorn. Its better than this m16 in every aspect. I hope you review it.

Can any of you please tell me if the oled on zenbook 14 pro is better or the mini led on zephyrus or the flow x16.? Keeping aside the refresh rates and all.. considering just media consumption and first the look of it.

Hello to you and nice work. Can you please also test the ASUS ROG Flow X16 2023. The versatality of that product make it better competitor to XPS 15 and possibly in some use cases to M16 as well. Keep doing the amazing work.

false advertising mate, this laptop thermal throttles way too quickly, the legion 7 beats it when it comes to performance by quite some margin. The hinge design is also aweful, raising it off its feet causing it to move around the table easily.

I'd avoid Asus right now as they don't wanna support customers with the exploding Ryzen CPU debacle going on around. Steve from GamersNexus did a video on it. Which sucks for customers as this laptop and the new ROG Ally looks good.
