2 weeks to ride the most epic and scenic train journeys of Switzerland. Traveling by train to Switzerland, exploring Basel, train to Lucerne, the steepest cogwheel train in the world to Mt. Pilatus, a day trip from Lucerne to St. Gallen on the Voralpen Express (Pre-Alpine Express) with a trip to the Rhine Falls. Taking the Gotthard Panorama Express from Lucerne by boat to Flüelen and the panoramic train to Lugano. Exploring Lugano and taking the Bernina Express. First the Bernina Express bus from Lugano to Tirano then the Unesco World Heritage Bernina Express train from Tirano to St. Moritz. After exploring St. Moritz we took the Glacier Express to Chur and onwards to Zermatt. In Zermatt, we hiked the 5-Seen Weg (or 5 Lake Hike) with views of the Matterhorn. As we took the train to Montreux to explore Lake Geneva, we enjoyed the train ride up Roche de Naya and took the Chocolate Train to Broc and Gruyère. From Montreux, we took the Golden Line Pass train via Zweisimmen and Interlaken, to Lucerne. We stopped on the way to visit the Jungfraujoch by train and finished our 2 weeks in Switzerland on a high note.

These views are out of this world! And I love train travel (at least if I don't need to get somewhere on time... lol). I can't wait to go back to Switzerland soon if only to have ALL the cheese fondue ;)

Wow Switzerland is just gorgeous! I've just been to Lugano and Zurich. Train looks like a great option to see more of the country. Next time, I want to do some hiking.
