They are both Bottom Feeders and similar scaled dimensions. The angle of the boards may make them look narrower/wider. The only difference is the construction types : Hydroflex vs standard PU/Poly. Hope this helps. If you have more questions you can always reach us at 252-987-6000. - Trip

Hey Trip, Greetings from Oz .I'm an older guy and have been surfing for about 40 years. Still surfing short-boards. In fact have bought a couple based on your reviews including the Bottom Feeder, Couch potato and the Lazy Toy. You need to get a commission from Matt !!! btw. I L-O-V-E your reviews. Very informative. Please keep up the good work. Cheers mick

@themahola1971 We've found that with bottom feeders there are 2 sizes that work. For you it would be both 6'2" & 6'0" as your two sizes - i.e. both of those sizes would be a great fit for you. The 6'2" will catch more waves but be a little slower to turn!
We have a 6'1" in stock right now (rare size) so perhaps you can split the difference and go 6'1"...
Thanks.

hi, what's the difference from the two boards? cause the one on the left (your right) looks shorter but wider...

@themahalo1971 - sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Where do you live and surf - what are your normal waves?

I am 6'0" and 200#. I just got a 6' Bottom Feeder and I can assure everyone, it works very, very well in small waves.

Thanks for your question. I used to think "no" on this question, but I have a Bottom Feeder and surf it all the time in Cape Hatteras, NC, which is basically tubing as soon as it starts breaking (even at 1 foot). You definitely have to angle it a bit more, but it works. The flat rocker and wider nose also help you paddle in sooner which makes the drop less critical. This is a killer shape. Definitely adds a ton of fun to your small wave game! - Trip

Hi mate -
Bottom feeder looks great - will it handle 1-2ft sucky (hollow) waves? Or will it slip out of the face?

For intermediate level and small waves is better the rv or the bottom feeder?

Right, so it won't be any easier to surf then Ay other 28-30L board in the knee to waist high area. Correct? It will just feel different.

hey, need some help here guys.  i'm 22 yrs old 5'8 little under 170 lbs.  I'm an experienced surfer consider myself average skills with the normal bag of tricks haha.  I ride a 5'11 local shaped board similar to a v2 shortboard around 28L.  and a 5'8 weekend warrior around 29.5 liters.  i was originally looking for an average joe around 32L just for overkill fun volume.  My local shop has a Bottom Feeder for sale at a really great price(under 500 unused) that i can't find anywhere else.  only thing is.. it's 5'4 around 30L.  i'm looking to take it in any condition type just for easier catching ability and speed...  also to get that maxed out kinda feeling, which i personally never have experienced on a board, i would like too! ususally don't go out for 1-2ft small days anyway.  something different and fun.  So i guess i'm asking, will the small size of this board kill it's fun? it will still be my highest volume board, lowest rocker as well. OR  should i pay the extra money and just get something else?
