I STOPPED UPLOADING TO YOUTUBE FOR A MONTH... THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED...

I Quit YouTube for 30 Days on this main YouTube channel. Did I get more subscribers or lose subscribers? Did I get more views on YouTube by not uploading as often? What happened to my YouTube money and ad revenue?

I answer all of your questions and show you my YouTube analytics in this video.

Just to be clear this was not a social media detox and I don't feel the need to quit social media. While I know it's popular to do a "I quit social media for 30 days" type of video, this had more to do with the fact that I wanted to start a new channel, and focus on my business and public speaking.

I decided on quitting YouTube for 30 days instead of just taking a shorter break because it would give me an opportunity to do several things at once without burning out, and get some good data on how YouTube works so I can help you grow on YouTube.

I took a break for about 3 weeks and it was good! My channel didn’t die and neither did I. Breaks are good and healthy. The only thing negative about breaks for me is it’s hard to regain motivation to start back again! It takes discipline.

The good thing about Youtube vs other networks is you can actually take a break and views still come in.

Did anyone else pause and run 🏃🏾‍♀️ grab their laptop 💻 and notebook 📓 I’m going to do some extra Uber/Lyft driving, a few UberEats and DoorDashes so I can take your course. I love your thought process PERIOD.

I stopped for 2 weeks and although views and subs suffered, I still had a decent amount of people watching and subbing. Maybe it just depends on channel size too. Anyone thanks for your vids Roberto. Long time lurker first time commenter :)

Have struggled a lot myself with depression over the years Roberto. Sometimes it strikes and I feel totally de-motivated, but videos like this with a community of people that really care help a lot! If anyone else is struggling with the same thing, I feel you and want you to know that there are lots of others to support you ❤

Welcome back! I actually even experienced this with my tiny channel, and actually got a handful of new subscribers from my old content during my break. I was wondering if this was a weird fluke, so thanks for this. It’s encouraging to know taking a break is okay!

I feel burned out because my channels generally require me to spend money to produce content, and I am trying ro minimize costs. Time and travel, and taking my own mental well being into account.

Eeekk!! Can't wait to find out what your other channel is about. I'm currently reviving (and redoing) an old channel. The "first" video is launching tomorrow.... this is *totally* the result of the COPPA stuff YouTube is going through. So... very stressed about that and wanting a less "kid friendly" channel to fall back on. It is an exciting and stressful adventure 😆

Would love to hear your thoughts on this new YouTube mess, if you have the time! 💜

Absolutely loved the message at the end. I took the leap this year and went fulltime with my business and YouTube channel, and it can be scary to think about what would happen if I can't upload for a while, especially since I already recovered from a burnout a while ago. For me, I launched my first online course and will be focusing on adding more sources of income, so I don't have to stress about uploading. After the launch of my first course, I'm also taking it easy for a few weeks and only doing one video per week. I need to give myself breathing room and like you said, not being your own 'abusive boss'. Great video!

I finally got around to watch this - what a great video Roberto! You crushed it! To answer your question: at this moment I feel mainly stressed out about having to batch content for the next few weeks because of my trips. I want to get back to the schedule that I was on before, but the idea of having to film additional videos (for when I'm away) on top of my regular upload schedule really overwhelms me!

I love your transparency!!😉I have taken breaks in between uploads. My channel didnt suffer loss And i found that when i stay active in my community, as a small creator that my subscriber count/views increased in between uploads!

Good video thanks Roberto. I'm planning on taking the whole of January off to enjoy the summer holidays with my family so this is very timely for me

Roberto, thank you for the video! I am glad that you took a break! I will always be here supporting you! During your break I watched the other videos that you have done and all the videos on the secret channel. I also follow you on other social media platforms.

At this time, I am not stressed out about YouTube and or social media. I am supporting content creators. I am strongly thinking about starting a YouTube channel. I am approaching the decision as a business with some of the ideas that I have. I will definitely let you know my decision. Thank you!

Perfect timing my man! I've been in the middle of a big move and have been anxious and worried that my channel would die. Here's to 30k!

You sure got a lot done on your break lol my laptop broke last summer and I couldn’t replace it for 3 weeks. It’s taken almost a whole year to get my views back to where they were at that time. So now I’m terrified of a YT break
