NDP Leader Singh on health-care motion, Emergencies Act report, RCMP commissioner's retirement

NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh holds a news conference on Parliament Hill to discuss his party’s opposition day motion on health care. The motion calls on the federal government to ensure health-care funding goes toward protecting and improving the public system, and calls on MPs to condemn recent efforts from some provinces to expand private delivery of common surgeries. Responding to questions from reporters, Singh comments on Brenda Lucki’s announcement that she intends to retire as the commissioner of the RCMP, as well as the upcoming report from the Public Order Emergency Commission regarding the federal government's use of the Emergencies Act.
