When wet weather riding is on the agenda, it seems there is always a trade-off— purpose-built rain gear often leaves riders forced to choose between rain protection and breathability. This has especially been true of rain pants, which traditionally have offered just a few more features than a modified trash bag. Showers Pass saw this, and they decided to do something about it.

Enter the Refuge Rain Pant, a waterproof, breathable, and comfortable marvel. The Refuge is constructed from Elite™, a 3-layer hardshell fabric that's impervious to rain showers, yet allows perspiration to escape as you exercise. Showers Pass has taped every seam, preventing leaks during prolonged exposure to the elements, and they've added strategic thigh vents to further ventilation when it's needed. Smartly, they've added yet another airflow opportunity at the seat, which is not only reinforced for durability, but perforated, allowing for additional ventilation without sacrificing wet weather protection.

To promote comfort on extended journeys, the Refuge is equipped with fully articulated knees, and the pants feature a hook and loop ankle straps to keep excess material away from your bike's drivetrain. YKK Aquaguard Vislon water-resistant zippers deliver an extra degree of protection, and zippers have been placed at the ankles in order to make the pants easier to take on and off over shoes. Final additions like suspender compatibility, an easy-access thigh pocket, and extensive reflectivity make the Refuge an ideal option for all types of riding, from the daily commute to the weekend adventure.

The Men's Refuge Pants feature a full cut, designed to be worn over street clothes of cycling gear. They're available in Graphite.

I just got these, after using the endura pants for years, and my they are wayyy better than the endura ones. I like that the inside doesn't feel clammy even when against your skin. You HAVE to wear a legging with the endura ones or the pants will just stick to your leg. My legs stayed dry over 40 miles in a steady oregon coast rain with these. They breathe very well.

Price is to rich for my blood! Plus+ that reinforced seat will have me blushing BIGTIME after people asking me what's stuck in your bum!? Well, unless if i wear em at the end of my shift just to avoid any any that unnecessary "what's stuck in your bum" type of attentions from my coworkers.
