"The Golden Deer"

Once upon a time, in a lush, green forest, there was a magical golden deer. This deer had shimmering fur that sparkled like gold under the sun, and it was known to be a kind and gentle creature. One day, the golden deer ventured into a nearby kingdom where a king saw it and became enchanted by its beauty.

The king wanted the golden deer to be his pet and ordered his hunters to capture it. The golden deer, knowing the danger, cleverly devised a plan to avoid capture. As the hunters approached, the deer spoke to them in a calm voice, "Please tell the king that I am willing to come to him, but on one condition: I wish to see him once more before I am captured."

The hunters, surprised by the deer's ability to speak, relayed the message to the king. The king, intrigued and eager to see the golden deer up close, agreed to the condition.

When the golden deer met the king, it spoke softly, "I am a magical deer and have the ability to grant a single wish. However, if you capture me, you will never know what this wish could be."

The king, tempted by the promise of a wish, hesitated. The deer continued, "Instead of capturing me, let me go and I will tell you how to achieve your heart’s desire."

The king, unable to resist the allure of the golden deer’s promise, decided to let it go. In gratitude, the golden deer told the king that true happiness and fulfillment come from leading a life of kindness and wisdom rather than from mere possessions or power.

The king took the golden deer’s advice to heart and began ruling his kingdom with compassion and fairness. As a result, the kingdom flourished, and the king found a deeper and more meaningful happiness than he ever could have achieved by capturing the golden deer.

The moral of the story is that wisdom and kindness often lead to greater fulfillment than the pursuit of material possessions or power.
