Korg PA900 VS Yamaha S950 Keyboard Demo

By my own experience, i own both and i can tell i like better how korg's styles sound more natural it sounds warmer than s950...but Yamaha wins on quality-feel and on professionally styles construction and way smoother transactions between fill ins, intros, variations, endings...both are just amazing..

Korg does sound good and convincing. But the Yamaha sounds more lively and more realistic My vote is for the Yamaha

I've always loved and preferred Yamaha equipment. I own a Tyros 1 as well as a LOT of other Yamaha stuff. I just ordered the Korg PA900 :-) Touch screen, deep editing, superior (to my ears) sound quality, the Korg just seems to offer so much more control over so many of the parameters.

KORG sounds better and distinguishable on PA system but YAMAHA sounds more reverb like muddy and merged tones though it is good on its own speakers. Yes we can tweak sounds and styles on both keyboards but it is not an easy task. The funniest part is most of the customers use less than 20% of capabilities of these keyboards. KORG wins over YAMAHA in many aspects like joystick, touch screen, drum tuning, programming ... but I would say Yamaha is more user friendly !!!!

Two thumbs up👍👍 Korg pa900... I got Yamaha Tyros4.. I still think Korg pa900 sounds better than Yamaha psr950.

Well Korg has a sharper voice. Its good but what I feel is that when you are working on a track on a keyboard, you will prefer a little more dynamic voice and some soothing styles which add up to whatever you create. Yamaha will definitely have a greater impact on the listener. Plus, the the in-built speakers of the S950 are mind blowing. Their bass output is extra-ordinary.
So I would definitely go with Yamaha. But yes will have to say, in some aspects, Korg sounds great. (Like the orchestral tutti)

have used yamaha for years and loved it.. but undoubtedly Korg sounds more realistic.. close your eyes, and u feel like listening to real orchestra.... yamaha on the other hand, so sharp sounds and it will feel definitely that its an electronic sound...

First time seeing this video, I thought let me choose not to see which keyboard is getting played first and the other one second - so I don't know the order or which one is getting played. I close my eyes as I open this video link, scroll the page down as much as possible so the video pane goes out of sight and as the playing starts, I rate the keyboards.

The first keyboard wins 6-1 for me... losing one in the part played towards the end.

Go Korg... Go figure! :)

When talking about style designing, korg rules. on the other hand, yamaha's styles are a way more dominant and "supporting" the performer better; what increases the effect of "real playing band" (great drums and bass backing). wish the'll co-operate one day :-)

I would like to ask one subjective question... Which did the keyboardist prefer playing? I'm in two minds as to which one to buy and things like keyboard key action/feel are important to me as well as sound. Which one gave the most pleasure whilst playing. Hence it being a subjective question...
