This was really nice to watch, thanks Michael. And I enjoyed reading the comments too. By a weird coincidence, my new album is released today, so there's three new songs on my channel as of now. I hope people enjoy them.

To me all that matters is the emotion the music conveys. I'd rather listen to someone pound on their instrument and wail, than something played perfectly with no meaning. So if you found this video intimidating, thinking you could never play something that complex, then please remember, it's not what really matters.

Love to all. Get well soon Eric. 🖤

Jeez, I was just impressed when he started playing. My jaw dropped when I realized he was actually going to manage singing on top of that wizardry.

I've seen him live playing for 30 people, I was early and by coincedance I helped him with the lighting, there was nobody of the venue who knew how it worked and that's my job so that was funny. Jon is a very humble and nice guy and nothing tricked in this video, Jon can do it live too! At the end of the concert he got of stage and preformed in the middle of the room full accoustic. I saw the owner, who didn't really knew who Jon was, with tears in his eyes, when Jon played High and Dry(Radiohead). Jon is a one of a kind Guy! Respect!

I'm pretty sure he also wrote the song about a flower growing in his garden. The poetry just makes the whole thing sweeter!

i found jon gomm prob 10 years ago. this song - accidentally in a late night depressive music deep dive.. i stumbled upon your reaction video when i went to show this artist to my husband & it was something i didn’t know i needed.

to watch your face & the pure joy, the unadulterated awe in your face. this is my favorite part of music. watching people have a visceral reaction to an artist..

what a beautiful thing! ❤ cheers.

From Wikipedia: "Jon Gomm started playing ukulele at the age of two. Classical guitar lessons began at the age of four, and at twelve he was accompanying his father, a music critic, to blues gigs in his hometown of Blackpool."

What has been left out here is that his father was also one of the first Roswell "alien hybrids" the US Govt experimented with mixing alien and human DNA, from the ones that had crashed to Earth in the summer of 1947....

That smile from Michael from 4:42 onwards when Jon is tapping the harmonics and is using his tuner, speaks more than words for this musical gem. Simply out of this world.

I saw Jon perform this and a whole set in a very small Glasgow pub a few years ago, I was literally about 10 feet from him. When we went in he was just sitting at the bar like a normal bloke, I had to double take when he casually said "Alright mate" to me. Afterwards he had plenty of time for everyone. I asked him about his tuners and some other stuff. A proper humbling experience from a humble guy. Jon you are an inspiration. And I love your philosophy on guitar playing and your love of effects. 👍😎

This touches me in ways that language cannot convey. His lyrics are as compelling as his facility as a guitarists and composer. Absolutely blown away!

Michael he is using scrugs tuners for the detuning parts so there are stops set in the tuners them selves..

Jon Gomm is a uniquely talented musician who’s technique’s are exquisitely well pronounced in the most impressive ways possible. His music is truly beautiful and emotionally connected. I discovered him for myself just a few months ago and instantly became a fan. Song for a Rainy Day, is so amazing. Which he did as a rearrangement of a song written by one of his students as a tribute to his unfortunate passing. This song was so well performed and articulated that I couldn’t help but feel its intensity. Jon Gomm, is quite simply the best fingerstyle guitarist I have come across.

This guy just makes my Taylor acoustic and my SG look like unburned firewood. Some people are just born to play a guitar... others, like me are born to watch those people play guitar.

Jon Gomm is more metal than most guitarist in metal. Haha! I love this dude!

The precision and technique is mind blowing. But what cemented this as one of the all-time great works of art for me is that the song itself, vocals and lyrics, is equally magnificent. Seems to be Jon’s trademark in all of his music...inspirational.
