This Painting took me around 40 minutes to complete. Without a possibility to erase I am forced to make sure everything goes right at the first try.

I was lucky to grow up in a home where creativity was always present, and it grew deep roots in me, since a very early age. I learned that creativity has the power to transform people and the world, it gives us the ability to imagine new possibilities and connect dots.

I graduated at Fine Arts School of the University of Lisbon, seeking what I really wanted to do with life, knowing the creative way was the direction to go. All I always wanted the most is to keep learning new things, learn to play guitar, drums, piano, know how to use a camera edit my own videos, learn to paint.. I think we all should want to turn our life into a masterpiece, to become the hero of our own story, or even the God of our own life.

I was lost and I moved to London, seeking to be “the traveler in search of signification”. After the first two months I was scared, because I did not find any answers, but I quickly I realized that to be inspired is the ultimate antidote to existential despair. Moved by the distance, sadness and love I started drawing furiously everything and anything, people I love, places I love, or even my dog that I missed so much. So I found my style, sharp strokes made with anger and despair. I Found out that it's only when we are lost that we are found, and perfection is not only about control is also about letting it go. I think we should follow our bliss and the universe will open doors for you where there were only walls.

Shanina's mother is of Lithuanian and Australian heritage, while her father is of Pakistani and Saudi Arabian descent. Born and raised in Melbourne, Australia she started modeling when she was 8 years modelling for Myer and appearing in a TV commercial for Hyundai, but stopped when she started high school and got accepted into an accelerated program, graduating a year before her classmates. At the age of fifteen, encouraged by others, she entered the Girlfriend Model Competition. While agents were interested in her, she was too young to move to Sydney, so she went on to participate on the Australian reality show Make Me A Supermodel, finishing as the runner-up.
Shanina moved to New York City when she was 17 years after being discovered by New York Model Management. She resides in her own apartment with her dog Choppa (Choppathefrenchie). She became engaged to Greg Andrews, known as DJ Ruckus, in January 2016 after dating for 7 months.
