if it does not factor 2 by 2 or 3 by 1 then you try division. the videos rational zeros theorem, factor theorem and synthetic division should get you there. you may also want to check out the one on the division algorithm.

Sure it does factor by the rational zeros theorem and so factor theorem/synthetic division. So basically try 2 by 2 or 3 by 1 then move onto rational zeros, another rule to add to the list of the General Factoring Strategy. (Don't talk about factoring). :)

Lol i have no ideas what polynomials are, haven't had a Math Class since High school, But i found myself completing the equations! I wish i had a math teacher this interesting, probably would have ended up in a different profession

Hey dude, which of these strategies to factor x^3+9x^2+6x-56? There are four terms and I can't use grouping 2 by 2 or 3 by 1.
