I just changed my crankshaft sensor. It took me maybe 25 minutes to change. I thought the metal clip was going to be difficult to remove, but it came off okay. I had to pull and wiggle the sensor quite a bit to get it out, but I never needed to use locking pliers. I did have them on standby, though. It was a little difficult to put the new one in the hole and line it up right, but not too bad. I would definitely recommend having some kind of hand held, or clip-on light. I was outside in direct sunlight, and I still had to use the flashlight on my phone to see where the hole was. Just feeling around for it would work also, though. I never had to go under my car, and it seemed easy enough to do everything from the top. This video was really helpful because it gave me a good idea of what I was going to be dealing with and what tools I would need. I pulled all my tools yesterday before I was ready to start.

Thank you. The only video that accurately showed the location and method of replacing the crankshaft position sensor. I'm not mechanical and thought I'd have to pay someone to do it for me. All told maybe 15 to 20 minutes of work and saved probably $100 doing it myself.

Do not forget to check the o-ring. Make sure the new o-ring is not put ontop of the old one and that the new one does not get crushed when inserting into the hole.
