I was wondering if you can talk about how the handling and the "fun factor" compares between the S2000, CL9 and your new car in one of your future videos. Congratulations on your new car!

Seeing what those down under are paying for an S makes me grateful that they're so common in the States. The constant availability does help to manage prices from completely going off the deep end

I paid under 15k USD for my AP1. Comparing the s2000 to a new base model civic is ridiculous as they are in two completely different categories.

I remember when a 99 S2000 was 14995 on a dealers lot, but no one wanted the 99 back then, they wanted slightly newer ones as were deemed better at the time. Knew of people that sold them due to excessive oil consumption too, but fun cars, just not at today's prices, you made the right decision 👍

Pffft I remember at one point in the UK there was a wide range of S2000 for between £3500 and £6000. No chance now, same goes for every other Honda tbh.

Uggh. I just bought one, 1-owner, minor bumper accident, 85k mi, engine, interior and frame are in great condition. Hurt paying 29k otd when I could’ve bought this same one 6 years ago for about 10k cheaper

Apparently S2000s are a very dangerous car, a famous online celebrity (the guy who towed a NSX trailer behind his NSX) died recently driving his S2000. A commenter beneath this news stated he knew two friends who had died driving their S2000s.. Do they break loose unexpectedly and have very poor crash ratings? I don't know. But I may just put the idea of owning an S2000 thoroughly to bed.

Fair enough. I purchased an AP2 two years ago for about $35k usd and while it was expensive I really wanted my first performance car to be a Honda haha. PS nice rb Honda jacket I have the same one 🔥

im tryna get an s2000 and remember when like 6 years ago they were 14k-20k and maybe 25k for really good ones but now the good ones go for 40k-50k like wtf aint no fckn way bro and the decent ones go for 25k like jeez. the lowest price one i could find went for like 15k and it had like 3 accidents on record and 200, 0000 miles on it. hopefully i can find something reasonable or the price goes down in the next couple years cause i really want this car its my dream car but jeez what happened???

Perhaps you could try out Toyota's some day, Mr2's are great cars, mate of mine had one and it was so fun to drive.

Everyone thinks their shit is worth gold. Wait a few years until people can't afford to live, you'll see Silvia, Skylines, S2000's selling for peanuts.

I honestly think many 2nd hand classic cars are stupidly overpriced.
Japanese classic cars were stupidly underpriced for years and now they are mostly in line with cars from other countries.
I think the market will definitely cool over the next couple of years when the global financial crisis kicks in like Vtec Yo!

I don't really know the what USD --> Kiwi Bucks turns out to, but I feel like a drivers example S2000 is worth every. single. penny of $20-25k USD. I own an AP2 and just adore it. It's really ruined every other sports car out there for me, I'll hop in an M2 Comp and have fun, but be even more excited to get back into my S2K.

They're great cars, best driven after you've owned them and gotten comfortable with the platform. I hope you can justify it someday.

There are countries that didn't get a s2000 and you decide to pass on one? Privilege sometimes isn't even known to the lucky people

I never bought one because I was still a kid when they came out. Now that I can afford one, I want the dark horse mustang. However, a sports car doesn't fit my lifestyle anymore, so I'm buying a rav4.
