This is what I believe caused my fibro. Chronic stress during childhood and a dysfunctional long term marriage.

you are a breath of fresh air, dr. martin! when i started studying reiki many years ago, i began to understand that my autoimmune conditions stemmed primarily from emotional trauma in childhood caused by loving but ignorant (and thus extremely abusive, to me)--hashimoto's and jra...followed by ibs when i was 27. only in recent years have i put the constant anxiety behind me, and the jra went straight into remission (and took bursitis in both hips with it). i used a combination of neurolinguistic programming (dr. david snyder), positive messaging from non-religious spiritual teachers, and reiki-related treatments to make this happen. it was such an organic combination of everything that i couldn't give you a recipe if i tried...all i know is that it worked! the hashimoto's is next on the list. your channel is a blessing because it's showing me where to look.

Thank you for being honest and strong enough to say and face the reality of the severe emotional life long consequences of severe long lasting trauma. Most health practitioners either deny it exists, or run as fast as they can from these patients. In fact, these practitioners are the ones who tend to deny the reality of the effects, or blame the patients.

My favorite example is do I take 3 anti lipid meds to prevent a stroke that I hope kills me. Or do I live with the consequences of these poisonous drugs, with diabetes, muscle disease and dementia by choice at 65 years of age to prevent a stroke? He__ No! There are better choices. Thank you so much Dr. Rutherford.
