China is interfering in Hong Kong to eliminate its distinct identity, both politically and economically. This is making Hong Kong increasingly less Western. In this video, we provide all the details.

Hmmm. If they're not teaching HK was a British Colony then stay consistent and say the Opium Wars never happened.

In every way that matters, Singapore is the new Hong Kong. Hong Kong on the other hand is now just an extension of Shenzhen.

As an Italian living in Hong Kong for 8 years, I agree with almost everything you said. It may now be just another Chinese city, indeed. BUT: it is also the most beautiful city in China, with stunning beaches, amazing hiking trails, diverse food, and perfect infrastructure to run your business in an educated English-speaking business environment. Not to mention the ultra-low taxation and the mild year-round climate. I’m not planning to leave anytime soon.

*Hong Kong once the capital of the East Uniting the East and West in trade and culture, * Now because of the C.C.P and Xi Jinping's Short sightedness is now the Cause of the Downfall Of the once great City Hong Kong, *Singapore is now the new capital of Asia* at the expense of Hong Kongs Economy and Freedom, Hong Kong once was Crown Jewel of the East bridging Eastern and Western countries in one city. China pretty much destroyed Hong Kong to the point where no one wants to invest in Hong Kong because of its current leadership in mainland China. *This video is just depressing to watch how communism destroys everything it touches, Communism really hasn't changed since the days of the Cold War.* if China had let Hong Kong thrive on its own without interference it would have been more prosperous if China would have more trade deals with Hong Kong that would have gotten the country even more money in trade but instead China has to absorb every single country that has Chinese people.

The UK should have given HKers British citizenship instead of handing it over.

Heartbreaking what happened to Hong Kong and if ever a demonstration was needed that Beijing word means nothing, this is irrefutable proof. Hong Kong of the 1990’s was such a unique place with a magical mix of eastern and western cultures - and it retained a little of that up until around 2010. The Hong Kong of today is just another Chinese city with barely anything special left. Thankfully the west did step up in this instance and those born before 1997 had a special kind of British passport that allowed them to move there if they wanted and Australia with Canada especially but also US leaders made it easy to immigrate. Unlikely we’ll get another city state that is as unique, that for a time had influence throughout the world distinct from Chinese or British cultures and was one of the 3 big financial centers. Singapore has taken on that role in that area of the world and uk has gained from the influx of people that moved there since 2019 especially near Manchester but still, such a shame. Ironically I think China threw away something very valuable, all for the sake of a little freedom of expression & thought that insulted their thin skinned politicians.

Oh No 🙄
And here I thought Xi's sheer "enthusiasm" for "1 country, 2 systems" would be so great, that Hong Kong would be left untouched and "free" 😬

Chinese leaders do not look at business the same way that most of the world does. The primary goal of the CCP is to stay in power, and that means using businesses and commerce as a tool. If a company is losing money in the west, it adjusts is structure, cuts expenses (including employees) to find a way to make a profit. In China, the primary goal is not making money but employing Chinese citizens, and if that means the government subsidizes the companies, so be it. If the CCP has to choose between a Hong Kong that is no longer profitable but is totally under the thumb of the CCP, they will choose control over profits.

Well I’m certainly one of those that have decided not to visit Hong Kong after the crackdowns. Instead of experimenting with democracy, the central government has shown the world just how much disdain they have to any talk or being accountable to its people.

That there would ever be a day, one would wish that the British would get one of their colonies back😅

CCP culture is non negotiable. All of their colonies have learned this the hard way.

I have been to Hong Kong 🇭🇰 in the past year. I found the locals to be very friendly and helpful. The Chinese tourist were extremely rude. I think Hong Kong 🇭🇰 people will never bow to China 🇨🇳
