Women breaking barriers in Canadian politics

The number of people from racialized groups who are elected to the house of commons has been going up, however the barriers for women in politics continue to rise. Nandika Ravi explores the role that diversity plays in politics

Uh huh. And we can we expect to see the push for women to break barriers in garbage collection, roofing, logging, pest control, small engine repair, carpentry, electrical power-line repair, etc.

No, wait, what am I saying. Those jobs are all working class jobs. Those don't matter at all when it comes to gender "equality".

All that matters when it comes to 'women breaking barriers' are high status, prestigious jobs in politics and corporate boardrooms and STEM.

The first thing 'diversity' usually does when they get into politics is talk about themselves being so wonderful because they are diversity and how they are going to be biased in their actions by helping out their 'people' .

It's a shame that Justin Trudeau is passionately holding hands with his billionaire international friends to collectively price out hard working Canadian women out of the residential Canadian shelter market. But I guess he makes up for it by using a soft tone and correcting someone asking him a question that the word "humankind" should be used instead of "mankind." I am sure all the hard working Canadian women, including minorities, would love to miss out on shelter to foreign billionaires instead.

Not only does he allow foreign billionaires in, he also makes it harder for Canadian women to buy for the first time by putting mortgage stress tests, when the problem is that foreign billionaires are coming with millions in cash and don't even need a mortgage. I guess this is how you take care of humankind.
