Interesting. I just tried a sample of isola blu and my wife and I are pissed bc we like it so much but it’s way too expensive 😅. Is it really just oligarch renamed ? Was oligarch discontinued?

What you say about Isola Blu is only true insofar that anyone who tries it and likes it, will most likely notice before they buy that it's just an ever so slightly more green/grassy Terre d'Hermes, and just go buy that instead. I have a bottle of Oligarch EDP with like 1/3 left that I'm just babysitting, because like you say, it's for my collection. But I can't make even a single good argument for using it over TDH. The differences between the two are minute off the bottle, in the air it's indistinguishable, and it lasts about an hour less long than Oligarch which already has massive staying power for a citrus-freshy. From where I stand, unless you are hyper sensitive to the flint note in TDH and dislike it, there's literally no detectable reason to my nose for even trying and buying Isola Blu, let alone Oligarch, just get TDH.

Oligarch was 10000x better than Isola Blu. I still have the Oligarch sample and just opening the cap gives off a radiant smell - Isola Blu doesn't project at all and is less vibrant imo

Isola blu smells more masculine than Elysium does. Maybe that’s why it didn’t click with you.
