Andre Gide - 'The Immoralist'

This is a challenging work in some respects, but a rewarding one all the same. Sven Lindqvist challenged the outcome of this novel in his 'Desert Divers', which is also a book I recommend.

I have heard this background music before...it was an experience that really shook me, emotionally, opened up new views on life...deep meanings...I checked this now it was called "Mixy Massage", one of those rare pearls of art and true meaning that drowns on the litter plagued soil of the general fame, greed and profit based Youtube content!

The Immoralist is my FAVORITE Gide. I had to portray Gide in a Theater Production in College, and I read The Immoralist over and over again because I was attempting to portray his "Algerian" period. It was VERY DIFFICULT to portray him BECAUSE he's definitely enigmatic, and there's NOT a whole lot of source material on him.
