Why is ice hockey so special in 🇨🇦Canada🇨🇦 ?

Hockey has been an important symbol of Canada since the early 1900s, when the Hockey Canada governing body was established in Ottawa. The sport remains immensely popular today and for good reasons: Canadian hockey teams perform well, and the sport brings families, cities and the country together to celebrate and cheer on their favourite teams.

Holy smokes, nearly everything you said regarding the history of the game was wrong, like really wrong. I couldn't watch after the first couple minutes because of that.

1.Discovered in Nova Scotia in the very early 18th Century or late 17th century.
2.There is strong evidence it came from the Mik'maq natives, which means we don't know when it was invented, but certainly not in Europe.
3.The first rules were the "Halifax rules. These rules were altered in Quebec in 1867 which is when the first indoor game took place. Nothing occurred in England.
