Pinku and Temple are incredible. This album just feels like a taster to see what baauer is capable of, which is frustrating. Regardless I'm still really excited to see what baauer does in the future.

When I first heard Go Go and then the more recent debut of Day Ones, I was pumped for this album because those songs brought that classic signature hard hitting Baauer style that I remember from 2012 (prior to harlem shake). I really felt like this album was going to be just an explosion of Baauer's full potential, something that I had always wanted to see happen. But I agree with Anythony, so much missed potential here. I get the feeling he was stoked on making a handful of bangers and didn't want to delay putting out a debut any longer, which is fair enough. It's like he has been deterred from sticking to that "hard hitting" style and felt he needed to create wide diversity in the album in fear of people thinking "oh so he just makes shit like harlem shake."

Those middle east sounds were really from the middle east. He traveled the world and recorded rare instruments and sounds. There's a documentary about it.

Dammit Fandingo, Way from me is groovy as fuck. Why didn't you like it, ? The first half is brilliant as soon as the vocals get in a steady cadence. IMO this album deserves a bit more than a 6/10 cause of the sheer attention to detail in most of the beats.
