Oh Jim, I so so agree with you about Blue Rug. Here in central IL it kills itself. Never ever again will I plant that. Starts dying from the center from root rot and in a few years has to be ripped out. What great advice. This All Gold variety looks beautiful. TY for introducing me to this. Beautiful color .

🙉juniper is a bad name around me! Lol It’s beautiful, until you want to take them out. I still have some behind my in-ground pool. I hope I never have to remove those too. They’ve been there over 20 years. Love the gold though.

How deep is the root system. I need something to cover a septic field. It does have a slight slope to it. Have been told I shouldn't plant anything with too deep a root system. Do you have any suggestions for other ground covers for septic fields?

I planted two Gold Coast Junipers. They are absolutely beautiful but why are they a deep green instead of yellow? They were only slightly yellow when I first purchased them.

I don’t think you mentioned spread or spacing. You did say you expect yours to take off once in the ground; mine has sat still for an entire growing season.

That’s exactly what my blue juniper did! It rotted out and killed itself.
