Break Action Falling Block

Just an idea I had. Horribly impractical, but still fun.

Could you make a gas operated single action army revolver, basically a gas piston and a gas on top of the frame that would conected to the hammer with a transfer bar, the it would have a gas port and gas block above the barrel, what you think





It may sounds simple but i really would like too see something like this

For a gun, perhaps impractical, though switch the handle side and make it a pull and it could work like a sten.
For a xbow, this could actually be useful for a semi-repeating action.
For non-weapon purposes, this actually is useful. Consider the barrel as an adjustable pipe. Work with that.

Am I the only one who kind of sees a star wars weapon in this. Not a blaster but a slug launcher (what star wars calls bullet weap9ns)
