- Leadership for COD and at Activision claim that COD MW3 was always planned to be a full fledged standalone premium game, but from its MW2 disc error, the game literally being categorized as DLC in COD HQ, dozens of devs saying it was initially an expansion, and how rushed the campaign feels like it was developed, I'm more inclined to believe the devs.

I'm sick of it being somehow the responsibility of players to remain patient while companies work out their shortcomings...

These publishers are so damn corporate they refuse to go a year without a release. The truth is games are an art form and art needs time to be perfect. You can't just say "make things happen every year" because that's how you get nothing but crap. For the love of god give this series a break and spend a few years making the next entry a really amazing game. One that should of saved the "MW3" title for later, it could of generated a lot more hype if we didn't get all these reboots that use the same name so often.

I’m convinced that Activision is purposely making games bigger to make it harder for players to consider deleting and go through the redownloading process, and it also passively discourage players to download or find other games since it eats much of their storage.

I love how Activision’s defense of a bad and extremely disappointing game is literally: “We took this project seriously and it took us a long time to make this game”.
So instead of the leadership taking the blame, their basically calling their development team incompetent.

Waiting for Activision Blizzard try to blow this off like "It was never a full game, it was always an expansion" while charging full game prices.

What really sucks about this is, this doing horrible isn't going to tell them to do better. It's going to make them blame the devs or the game itself. A lot of dev studios and games have been shelved because of garbage publishers refusing responsibility.

It's possible devs purposefully left the DLC "tag" in there to make a point against the higher ups greed.

Really impressive that you did this news cast using your Kiryu voice!

You know what people should also get a refund for? Yakuza with your subpar take on Kiyru's english voice.

Fun fact: You can assume that a lot of assets in COD:MWIII aren't even original, but paid assets from asset stores. They accidentally used the Left 4 Dead generator model because it along with many other vehicle models, are for whatever reason just on these websites without the approval of Valve or Turtle Rock. They couldn't be bothered to make their own assets or to even check if the sites they got models from were from already existing games lmfao.

Its funny how when rebooted MW came out in 2019, it seemed like such a breath of fresh air for the series and a step in the right direction... And Activision immediately fucks the goodwill into the dirt.

Consumers: "So that 235Gb install size means it has a complete campaign, right?"

No matter how many videos is made about this or whatever outburst fans have towards MWIII, it will make money and the cycle repeats sadly. I just see no hope for the franchise of CoD and that honestly sucks for real.

And that ladies and gentleman, is why you don't need a new COD every year..

It's honestly so sad to hear that Activision is so money hungry that they basically forced Sledgehammer to work overtime just to make a $40 dlc and make it disguise itself as a full $70 game just by simply slapping a "3" at the end of the title. I hope Activision never attempts to do something like this ever again, unless they're prepping for another mass online protest by all decent gamers.

I just don’t understand why a company cannot just take accountability and say “You know what, we messed up.” Companies are consistently pointing the finger are each other. Devs blame publishers and publishers don’t seem to even know what is going on.

I’m so sick of the PR talk from everyone about everything. Just take responsibility and move forward. When companies double-down and dance around the issues, they lose credibility.
