I always viewed Sidious as a man who only cared about himself. He may have had great plans for Vader initially as he even hinted to Yoda. However, the plans changed when Vader suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of Obi-wan. Afterwards Sidious regarded Vader as he regarded everyone else, with the possible exception of Sate Pestage, a mere tool to be discarded at will.
I think Sidious wanted Luke to replace Vader as the latter outlived his usefulness to the emperor. He simple needed a more powerful pawn.
Palpatine intended to became immortal to rule forever alone. He would not share power. He even saw himself to be the Dark Side itself. Besides, the Rule of Two was meant stop the Sith from self-destructing and to be the path to galactic domination. As Sidious already achieved this there was no longer need for it. At least if he attained a deathless state, that is.

In the brilliant Vader comics Palpatine outright says that Vader is an expandable to him and sends a cyborg army to assassinate him(in order to test him). Seriously Vader fights a cyborg mon calamari with general Grievous' body

Palpatine wanted to keep Vader in pain....both mentally and physically. Vader's pain made him his son reared his head. Then, his pain made him think of his made Vader weaker in the Dark Side but made him stronger in the Light Side. Palpatine had not considered that beforehand.

i wonder did palpatine ever try to clone vader we know in legends palatine had access to cloning vats and know how to spirit transfer, he could have done that to vader

I am not sure.... I always thought that palpatine kept vader just so he would have a "back up" body to plunge into when he will be able to master the concept of changing bodies without the concent of the host.

It seems to me that he didn't respect the rule of two either. The rule of two need the master to share everything he knows to his apprentice. Palpatine did not that with Vader. Plus he formed a lot of force sensitive people.
Plus the rule of two had meaning when Jedi were alive but since they were all wiped out and did not have control of the galaxy, the purpose of the rule of two is no more.

Plus a lot of things.

Non-Canon Expert, were there ever any examples of kyber crystals used in blasters? Would they have augmented a bolt's power? I don't know if the thoughts are worth a video exposé, but it was something that occurred to me from your earlier video concerning blaster bolt colors.

First time commenter, I enjoy your discussions and theories a lot, thank you for sharing your knowledge.

I really like the fact that palpatine would rather see the sith order rise than keep himself at the top.

Is this part of the official story? If so where can this info be found?

Yes I believe he did. Anakin/Vader was just a tool to Palpatine to achieve his goal. He couldn't allow Vader to be strong enough to possibly defeat him. So he put Vader in a cheap suit to limit his defence to lightning. Palpatine kept Vader like a prisoner and he punished Vader for his defeat on Mustafar.

I don't get why people say Vader was "weak" he accomplished so much for a quadruple amputee, and why did he not clone arms and legs? I know in legends palatine, made clones of himself, but the clones would deteriorate over time, so why not produce limbs for Vader at a fast rate, he would have been able to use force lightning and other obscure abilities.

Does anyone else find it weird that they pursue immortality but only expect to keep an empire for 10, 000 years?

Palpatine gambled and, until the very end, the gamble was paying off. He ultimately died just because he was focused solely on Luke, giving Vader/Anakin an opening to betray him.

Anakin was an expert mechanic and a robotics genius, why did he never modify his suit to not be vulnerable to electricity?
