I love her voice and it gives me goosebumps. This concert was on television yesterday and  loved it, yet, best of it, this part. Anyone criticising her should first sing this aria and then ... chang their mind, I'd say.

What I love most about her performance is how much she is risking. Those pianissimos are fragile and very much vulnerable. I always have to come back to this recording.

I love this piece and Anja Harteros really nails it. For me this is the best rendition of all that I have heard. I wish I could have it at my funeral with Pappano conducting his Santa Cecilia orchestra and chorus and Anja singing. But I doubt if they'll be available.

Finally, a soloist who actually sings it; and she interprets it beautifully. I have heard many versions where the soloist is quite screamy.... This is brilliant. Bravo!!!! And I forgot to mention....best top b flat ending :-)

Libera me fu scritta in morte di rossini nel 1869. Dopo, nel 1874, verdi la integrò nella messa da requiem in latino.
