Al Martino performs his hit "Volare" in this rare music video, filmed in the Italian Alps in 1976. This renditon of "Volare" climbed to Number 1 on the disco charts in France, Germany and Italy. Recorded in the early days of the disco music genre, this pioneering video was produced by Mike Curb, who is now recording Tim McCraw, Faith Hill, Wynona and many other Nashville country music superstars.

For his performance on this and other music videos, Al was given the "Jackie O " award in Rome, Italy.

My dad was pretty cool!

My dad Brought my mom and me to see him in Florida, it was my first concert, Al
Martino signed an album for my Mom, my Dad passed a few years later (very young) to this day I have extremely fond memories of this concert and my Dad and Al looked so much alike.

One of my favorite songs (and version of Volare) EVER. Watching this as a kid, I wanted to be as handsome, suave and cool as Al Martino! Didn’t quite work out that way but it was fun to dream anyway! 😀

This version is the best!
Such a great voice.
Unparalleled, such a voice will never return, but fortunately he left his beautiful songs for us.😊

Al Martino also reminds me of The Godfather.😎

I spoke to Al 10 years ago. The day I buried my mom & the day my beautiful daughter was born. Mixed emotions that day. Not much longer after that he passed away. A man of kind words on the happiest & saddest day. R.I.P Al!

Good one--it screams the 1970s--the disco back beat, an offbeat location, even that slim fit jacket Al is wearing. Thanks for the post, Alison

The first time I heard this song, I must have been 8 or 9 years old. It was on a vinyl 33 rpm among other titles from the years 1975 - 1976. I've been looking for this version for a long time. Now I'm 45 and I still love it so much. Thank you for sharing.

Ta piosenka zawsze kojarzy mi się z latem, morzem i plażą nigdy ze śniegiem i górami.
