Is Golf Club Fitting Worth It?

I went to a Fancy Custom Club Fitting place. Will it help my game? Club Champion is where I chose to go since they are closest to my home, they were not affiliated with this video.

I'm an 8 handicap. Not to discourage your fan base, but let me all save you 8 minutes. The short answer to this video is: NO.

I had a 4 hr full bag fitting and was offered a $750 Driver that was 0.7yds longer. A $400 3W that was 0.8yds longer. And an invoice for over $3500 that was not going to improve my game or lower scores. I was excited at lowering my handicap and potentially shoot par on a perfect day, but getting fitted is not the answer.

I’ve done a club champion fitting a few times and have irons, a hybrid, and a driver. It definitely makes a difference but you also pay quite a bit for it. I will also say 3.5 hr full bag fitting is exhausting.

I work at a golf shop. Do the fitting at CC if you want to, don't buy from there though. Extremely overpriced compared to retail. I'm a club builder too and their work leaves much to be desired.
