Rare 2 Euro Malta Commemorative coin (only 500,000 mintage)

Made at the Royal Dutch Mint, since 2009 all Malta coins are minted at the Koninklijke Nederlandse Munt or Royal Dutch Mint. The 2012 with the € symbol has a limited mintage of 500,000. Anything under a million is considered rare. This coin celebrates 10 years of the Euro being the de-facto currency in the EU. I also believe the regular 2015 2 Euro maltese coin with the cross is also very rare. Only 30,000 of the 2015 coin were minted. Somehow they show up at my currency window. Many people must be flying to Malta.

I have that commemorative coin from Malta - UEM 2009. 700.000 mintage! I've found it on a vending machine in my country, Portugal (Algés). In 2015.

Hi AACC, bravo for the 1st coin that you found ( The one of 2009 issued at 700 000 copies only ). i'm not able to tell you if the 2015 coin is rare or is of a great value but all i know is that all the coins from Malta are now issued at 300 000 copies and very hard to find. Greetings from France

Do Euro countries as a rule mint commemorative coins IN ADDITION to their regular coins, or does "commemorative" mean these coins will be minted for the rest of the year, same as the regular coins. Sorry if I sound stupid, but I would like to start collecting Euros as a hobby, but know far too little about it.

Hey there, I was wondering if you could help me out with something or anyone. I felt this would be a good place to ask though. I just recently found 2 good condition 1 dollar bills, they are both star notes and they have serial numbers that follow each other. One bill serial number is B 07488866 the other is B 07488867 (both star notes) I was wondering what the value on these might be when sold together. Am I stoked for nothing or did I come across something here?

2015 is not that rare. I have about 6 of them. Easy to find on Malta.
