This recording is from January 31st of 2017 when the ABC switched off the final transmitter off the Goulburn Valley Highway in Shepparton, Victoria.
This was due to a shift in the culture of the ABC, where things were becoming more digital and shifting to online, rather than analogue transmission (outside of AM).
