Darksiders - Aerial Predator Achievement/Trophy Guide

As the Aerial Predator Achievement goes, just listen for all of the tips. This is my Walkthrough episode 15, but with the LP stuff cut out. I promised i would release it as a stand alone, so that is what i am doing.

TIP: Save at the beginning of the flight section. But also, look at the Stats tab in the Chronicle menu. Look at "Total Kills", and add 160 to that. That's your goal. Whenever you reach the end, check the stat and you can see how many you missed.

If you're desperate, you can focus on doing as many kills per checkpoint as you can, then make a separate manual save to try again on the next checkpoint.

All checkpoints (autosaves can seen on the bottom left)

I used this method of multiple saves. I reloaded several times to make sure I get a better score. And the trophy unlocked! Here are my records so others can use them as reference:
I start at checkpoint 1 with 482 'Total Kills'
To 2 with 493 (+11)
To 3 with 510 (+17)
To 4 with 518 (+8)
To 5 with 572 (+54)
To end with 651 (+79)
So I got 169 total.

Make sure you don't overwrite the save at the beginning. Use different save(s) for the method.

I got it in APOCALYPTIC and I killed 199.
Swarms of locusts and small bats are the key to this trophy.

Just wanted to send a thanks to the uploader. I was struggling with this last achievement and after watching the vid I got it on the first try. Set your Sensitivity high(I chose 70%), use rapid fire a lot and definitely only hold RT for 2 seconds at the most, get rid of those rockets ASAP!

almost 10 years later, did this on my first try on the remaster! You really don't need to worry about killing the big angels at all, most of the time they will distract you from getting the larger groups of small enemies that come and go very quickly.

I followed the guide as I went through the flying event and it was very helpful to know when a large group was coming up. That was enough for me to get it first try. I just focused on the small groups that he mentions throughout the video (including the ones he misses) and made sure I was ready for them in my game by pausing it after each one to check when the next is coming up.

THANK YOU! I'd once managed to get 159 kills and never got that close again - after watching your video I got 173!

The eureka moment for me was when I saw you only "painting" the little swarms for half a second before letting go and starting to paint again. I'd been painting a load of targets at once and I think most of them had gone out of range by the time I released the trigger. That was all I needed for 1000G!

great video.. this helped me tremendously.. oh and by the way for those still trying to get this one, the sequence can be divided into two parts.. at around 3:14 of the video, you can see that it is autosaving.. just build up as many kills as you can before that point (around 80-90 i guess) then do the second part.. if you don't get it, just reload the autosave file to load the 2nd part instead of starting from the beginning..

got it in my 3rd try. key is to remember the sections where the small moth type hordes come and go. just keep locking till the exit the screen. then full concentration on them n not on the enemy birds as they (moths) are 1 hit kill where as enemy birds take more then one. as a benchmark u'd have over 110 kills by the time u kill the large dragon thingy.. then there are 3 hordes after them go all out on them

Thank you for this. The tips you gave were mostly already known to me, but what I did was I used your video as I played to prepare for incoming waves of locusts and bats. The trophy popped for me at almost the same instant as it did for you. This video really helped, thanks again.

To anyone still having problems, I recommend watching this video while you're making your run and noticing where locus swarms and other groups of enemies are coming from. It helped me out.

Great vid, I saved pre-flight then made a new save after I got about 40+ when you go into the second cave. Saved again at the dragon fight when I had about 100 or so kills and went from there. Pausing the game and playing the segment of the video corresponding with what you are about to play will give you a heads up where the big clouds of little enemies will be giving you a good advantage and reducing the amount of memorization you'll have to do.
