I went into this video assuming I would already know most of these -- NOPE! Some pretty basic-seeming stuff here that I had no idea about. So helpful. Thanks!

I used the PenTips for a while, but eventually decided to move to their textured screen protector. It’s magnetic so you can detach it if you want to just use the normal iPad screen, and put it back on when drawing. The PenTips wobble is a thing, but it can be corrected with a bit of software stabilisation. However the feeling when drawing is that of rubber over glass, which is completely different than pencil over paper. They do silence out the tapping noise of the Apple Pencil over the screen though.

Hi Brad, I have a USB 4 cable to use between my iPad Pro and my MacBook for Sidecar purposes. This has dramatically reduced the lag versus using a solely wireless Sidecar option, and greatly reduces the number of times Sidecar crashes. I would highly recommend trying it, to see if it improves overall performance with touch inputs in Photoshop or other apps where a drawing tablet is handy.

5:47 They recently released their own silicone Apple Pencil tips (called Pen Tips 2) that works like any regular Apple Pencil tips, and not as a cover like the one you demonstrated! It's also slightly pricier though.

Regarding drawing boards, it's something I've been wondering about lately. Brad, you mention you draw on your desk. Are you hunched over? What's the healthiest/most ergonomical way of drawing on an sidecar iPad?

I may look into the darkboard, just because my daughter likes to draw on her iPad. I don't do illustrations, but I do photo edit, and I really love the draft table. I think you might have actually recommended that to us a long time ago. A strong sturdy base always makes using the Apple Pencil feel so much more comfortable to use.

My recommendation when it comes to screen protectors or rubber pen tips is to use neither. In the long run, the benefits of drawing on regular screen glass outweighs the negatives of screen protectors.

Would you recommend an iPad for digital art if you're not in the Apple ecosystem? Or would the galaxy tab be better? I want to get my hands on both to try them out beforehand if I can.

Idea:
In iPad settings, I selected the option to have quicknote open with a swipe directly from the lower right corner.

Or set Notes as a slideover?

let's do art tour all together, art collective, like cirque Dusoley like Disneyland on the tour, then not just a music band going from city to city with dates but engine can be part of Animation Production and art tour, like a huge art collective.

Yes, that sounds like a great idea! We could have a series of events that feature a combination of music, art, animation, and other forms of entertainment. We could even have workshops and classes that teach people how to create their own art and animations. We could also partner with local businesses and organizations to help promote their services and offerings. This could be a great way to use art and entertainment to bring people together and create something truly amazing.

Could you do a video on the cheapest iPad/android tablet for art. I know you've done before but I feel like it's been a couple years and there might be some new better options.

I like the drawing board. I support anything that helps to correct drawing angles. iPad neck is real.
