Beeline Moto Navigation - IS IT WORTH IT? Watch Before Buying.

Sharing my thoughts on the Beeline Moto Navigation GPS Unit after having used it for over a year. There are some pros and some cons (one of which is a product killer)...
**UPDATE 9/21/21**
Beeline reached out and suggested that they did not receive my emails due to spam filters etc... Regardless of that, they're sending me a replacement. So take that with a grain of salt. After multiple emails, only this *NEUTRAL* review got them to respond. I stand by the product, and will continue to use it, because ultimately I like it, despite their spotty customer service.

I've also had my Beeline for a few years, but have never had to use service so I can't speak to that. Otherwise, I think your pros and cons list is spot on. I used this to travel across the US last year and your comment on the arrow pointing was what I experienced. There were a couple of times that I got turned around and needed to stop, put in my destination again from where I was and then proceed. Kind of a pain. Otherwise I keep using it because I like the pros. It is about 1/3 the cost of a more traditional GPS, so I didn't expect it to work as flawlessly as that. Nice, honest review.

Somehow the customer service experience is really different from what I've experienced (well, we're both a sample size of 1 after all)

I just emailed them to let them know that the philips head screw in their scooter mount is prone to rusting, with a photo accompanying the email. To my surprise they just sent me a replacement scooter mount, no question asked.

Good honest review. I was considering purchase, but you just confirmed one of the cons that makes it pretty much useless for me. The big arrow seems to be pointing ahead all of the time, like telling you to keep riding ahead. Like if I didn't know that. And then it suddenly turns right/left when you get to the turn. What's the point? I know that the round dot is telling you in which direction next turn will be and the numbers tell you the distance to that point. That is the only useful info. The big arrow in the middle tho!

I'm a little bit confused on how this warranty stuff works over there in the USA. Here in Austria (and I believe in most of Europe), we have a 2 year warranty by law. I purchase (or order) a product from a store (not from the developer) and if something goes wrong with the product, I bring (or send it) back to the store and they repair or replace it. I only have to bother with the customer service of the shop, ...which usually is good.

I purchased the Triumph version of the moto, only used it occasionally and it was in as new condition. Went to used it a couple of weeks back and it started up normally but saying there was an update available. So in the middle of the update it stopped. I contacted Beeline an they told me to try a few things which all failed and acually caused the display to bleed pixels. They then told me the unit has hardware problems and stated I would have to pay to have it repaired. The support email process took two weeks due to each time you reply to an email you get an automated response sayign the team will be in touch. Buyer Beware.

I asked beeline if they simply repro the info from your phone.They said no.Acc to them, they set it up from your phone app and it does not need to use any of your data.Seems it uses it's own system after initial application

Interesting review, not sure why this keeps being called a Navigation Device, it just take data from your phone and puts it on the screen in a simplistic way. Shame about the customer service experience you are having, that is a deal breaker for most - take care.

Think you've missed/ forgot to put the key feature of this device on this review. I'm commenting on this because the other comments looks as though they are trying to compare it to a standard satnav. I may be wrong but i believe your review shows it in turn by turn mode. From my understanding there are 2 options with this turn by turn guidance and the other being an arrow pointing to the destination. I thought that was the point of this- let the user find their way the route they like, just head in the general direction of the arrow. That's the reason i'd buy it personally anyway. Believe this is more designed for leisure riding/ country roads than cities.

What was your issue per contacting customer service? I don't understand your puzzlement with the arrow. It's quite similar to the next turn arrow on any other navigation unit is it not? Not pointing to final destination but indicating the direction you will go per a direction change along your route. I believe. It should ultimately move back to center after the change and you are headed the right way...until the next change of direction. Basic turn by turn indicator. As I understand other reviews.
