I have a friend who's twin brother passed away at birth. She always felt a longing for him. Five years ago, she gave birth to twin boys. Both are healthy and give her a run for her sanity and her best life ever. ❤

Heartbreaking, my friend lost his twin a few years ago and he feels like part of his life is gone. His sister was just as sweet as he is 💔

It’s sad that she died, but she saved her sister which I consider a heroic act. ❤❤❤

My dad and his identical twin never went a day without talking to each other. They lived with each other after retirement and everything. When my uncle died from throat cancer, my dad was destroyed. Like, overnight, he just became a shell of a man. My dad died pre-COVID and I think he was just relieved to finally be going back with his twin.

My dad's identical twin died when they were 46 years old. My dad passed at 73, he was profoundly changed after the loss of Uncle Ronnie. He lost a sister too when he was 63 and that loss was not nearly as hard. There is a bond with twins that just doesn't exist between other siblings.

Okay I haven't seen the episode but I looked it up to be the paragraph gal

Annie and Liz came into the hospital to be separated because Liz's heart was doing more work than Annie's, causing high output cardiac failure. As seen in the short Liz was designated Twin A and Annie Twin B, however, during the surgery, Liz developed a clot in her brain. Derek Shepherd was unable to fix the damage caused by the clot and Liz was declared brain dead. Annie makes the call to take Liz off of life support.

The show is Grey's Anatomy.

Season 10, episode 22: "We are Never Ever Getting Back Together"

Liz was initially declared twin A due to being assessed as having a stronger chance of survival, I believe primarily due to having a naturally stronger heart.

However, something goes wrong in the surgery, causing a severe clot to occur in Liz's brain, leading to, in a split second, Annie getting reassessed as Twin A.

Both technically survived the surgery, but Liz was left permanently brain dead. Thus, Annie gave the doctors permission to take her sister off life support.

Loosing a family member is hard but I will never ever even imagine how devastating and soul crushing is to loose you’re twin, you’re other half

I had conjoined twins. My girls lived about 45 minutes. When I found out my girls were conjoined. There was no way I could choose one over the other.

I would of had identical twin granddaughters but one laid on her sidters cord & it cut off the babys food oxygen etc. sad but judt something that happened, the other side of the family had nothing to do with my granddaughter as they blamed her for murdering her sister as if in utero she knew what hrr actions were doing & that she did it deliberately at 7 months gestation. Some people are beyond stupid.

My Mom was born in 1933 in a small backwater rural area. Last pregnacy, number 7, but child number 8. The birth right before hers was my twin Uncles. Born at home and delivered by my Nanny's Mother. They each weighed over 10 lbs! They were supposed to be identical twins but as they grew they started looking different so guess fraternal instead. As adults they lived mostly within a not too long car drive. They even joined the military together but Wayne went Navy and Blayne went Marines. Funnily they were both assigned to the same ship! Lol. My Uncle Blayne was ornery and liked to stir things up while Uncle Wayne was sweeter and more outgoing in positive ways. Uncle Blayne died in 2018. Uncle Wayne followed in 2019. My Mom, left alone by her siblings and having been a widow since 1964, followed January 2, 2021. Even with all 7 of her kids, 13 grandkids, 16 great grandkids and 4 great-great grandkids all living and all but 4 within a 10 to 15 minute drive to her house, she just couldn't seem to manage living with her siblings all gone. I understand though. I don't know if I will be whole and in my right mind when I loose my eldest sibling and sister. She is just too much to me to put in words.

My eldest child ended up entering the world really late and finally by c-section. That is when we found out that I had been right and the "echo" heartbeat they heard for a portion of my pregnancy was her twin. His placenta had been breached by hers and she recieved all the nutrients and waste removal of the two placentas. He stopped developing early enough that it appeared he was kinda being reabsorbed or something like that. They were only certain what they found was a fetus because they sent jim to the labs to make sure there was no xancer or anything and to udentify it. I knew it was my son Adam. It is a very rare occurance and even more rare to be fraternal male/female pregnancy.
My daughter was born weighing 10 lbs 10 oz and nearly 3 weeks late. Never will understand why it happened but it has affected her. This happened in summer 1989. She sometimes says things like she ate her brother. I know she is trying to make it make sense. Dhe does have a connection with him. She has talked to him in her dreams and believes he dtays close by waiting until it is time for them to be together again. Hopefully not for many more years to come.
Sorry rambling a bit Blessed Be yo you all.

There were several sets of twins at my school growing up - they all seemed to have a unique connection.
One set of brothers were very close and when one of them was killed in a motorcycle accident the other was totally lost and couldn't live without the other - he passed away a couple months later.

Im a twin. Losing her is always a thought in the back of my mind. My life will never be the same. My heart would shatter and I would only live for my kids and God until he took me away. I would never be the same.

My cousins were conjoined. They both passed fairly soon after birth. It was very very sad. I was so excited to have twin girl cousins.

As a twin I feel like honestly if was conjoined and my sister died in the separation I wouldn't want them to spend a single second trying to save me, cuz I'm not supposed to exist in a world where she doesn't and I don't plan to

As a twin, I am terrified of the thought of losing my other half. I don’t even want to imagine it. And if we don’t pass at the same time…well let’s just say I hope that doesn’t happen.

I have identical twin girls born on New Years Eve. This is the first time, other than from SICK Kids in Toronto, that I've heard anyone on TV call them by what they truly are which is Twin A & Twin B. My one twin is named Elizabeth (Lizzie), and she is Twin B😊

As a mother of twins I would give my life to keep those two together there is something special with twins they literally have known each other from the womb they are closer then siblings and it is a gift to watch them grow together
