Man I just want to let you know that your videos are amazing! By far the best informational videos on YouTube and you are just getting started! I wish you started your channel a couple years ago since I am currently a senior in college about to graduate with a CM degree. You're videos have pretty much summed up all of the important information that I've learned through the CM program and internships. I would love any feedback or mentoring advice on how to be a successful project or field engineer starting out his career in the industry. I want to go the superintendent route but I know it's going to be a challenge since I did not go through the trades. Any advice would be awesome! I just found your videos and I'm so glad I did. I just started HR for a construction company. We are a general contracting and design-build firm. We do multi-million dollar projects, state parks, schools, medical, commercial, etc. I'm excited, but I don't know much at all about this type of business. I came from HR in the Dept of Mental Health side of things. I'm trying to learn as much as I can. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! I'm sure my supervisors are so tired of questions when it comes to looking for the right candidate...."What's a PM do again? Wait, what's a submittal? And the difference in a Carpenter, laborer, and foreman is what?" Lol. I keep telling myself, I didn't know anything 3 weeks into my last job and at 12 years I knew it like the back of my hand.
