Great video Tim! :D

Common/biggest questions I ask myself when applying:
1. When should I say I'm not interested in relocating?
2. At what point should I bring up the topic of rates, is it normal to negotiate rates for a junior/starting artist?
3. Should I send my CV apart from my portfolio? (imagine my previous work is not related to this industry)
4. What do you think about cover letters, are they important? What should you include in them?

These are the most common ones I wonder about when applying.
Thanks!

Of all the portfolio videos that I saw, no one was so clear and straightforward like this. Also this approach of targeted portfolio makes things much easier when it comes to “what pieces to put”. Thank you for your amazing contribution to the community, surely I will contact you in the future for a mentorship (when I develop further my skills haha).

Glad you mentioned incorporating elements of company's work rather than trying to match their work outright. My biggest worry is that artists, newer and veteran, could lose their sense of self-expression and identity by doing this.

Hi there Tim! I loved your video and im taking it super seriously trying to find some work. I wanted to ask, do you happen to know ways of finding studios/companies? I have a difficult time finding companies that catch my interest and I only know a handful. Was wondering if there were any resources or such. Also, whether or not they hiring juniors? I feel like nowadays, junior positions are completly gone and dont exist.
Thanks in advance!

Well ..in the part where we reference our target studios, what if all studios i like have various games of different styles? Do we reference the most popular ones or the ones we fit in the most? If so, then what if the company is looking for smth different without us knowing??
