I see 0:55 and immediately remember a lesson in my Work Readiness Assistance Program in school, and one of our lessons was a mock budget planning assignment, where we had the budget of a modern cashier and had to budget our monthly expenses. By the end of it, we were all $500 in debt, and the teacher even *admitted* that some of the prices on expenses were unrealistically low. Then they explained that that's why we don't want to have to be stuck with a minimum wage job, because it's *literally impossible to have a low end job and make ends meet.* As if it's supposed to be just a fact of life.
And that's the kinds of situations the homeless have to live with.

As somebody who went about a week without a refrigerator after a lightning strike, telling people not to buy a new one is just cruel. I was lucky that I was able to find a replacement part instead of replacing the whole fridge, and that the burned part was easily to reach with minimal disassembly.

Doordash driver here: those doordash orders were all left there because they had no/very low tips, so no drivers would take them. This is a pretty common occurrence. Doordash base pay for a delivery is 2.25. So if you don’t tip, that’s how much doordash will offer the driver to deliver your order, and 99% of drivers will just decline to take it.

Zen, regarding the shoplifting thing for the baby formula, yes it IS that prevalent a shop-lifted item. Especially prior to the massive shortage that just happened last year. It is often used to also smuggle heroin in, if you haven't seen a specific episode of Law and Order: Special Victims Unit. It's also expensive as hell, compared to milk. And you still missed out on the massive egg shortage that we just had in new england. Lumo can tell you all about it if you haven't.

I worked leasing at a place that did poo print/doggy DNA. I'm also a service dog owner and the place I currently rent has a SERIOUS issue with people not cleaning up, especially in the winter. It's usually the small dog owners too. I've been trying to get them to set up doggy DNA for at least 6 years now because it's disgusting... It's worse in the winter so during the spring melt it's just NASTY it there.

i can confirm the open 'quote' from walmart, worked there for 16.5 years and then had to take a 1 year L.O.A. to get my anxiety under control because it got so bad that i would have an anxiety attack walking from my car to the time clock to start the day.

fun fact about the school bathroom situation. in some states it is illegal to have no bathrooms open. so usualy they ether have 1 or 2 open (usualy if its 1 its students using the staff bathroom if the school has one)

Canada has better laws regarding labour and limitations on what employers can force you to do, but you're still worked as hard as they can get away with. Infringing on your rights little by little or find a way to fire you.

4:47 just put a mic at waist level and just let them hear everything. they can still hear you talking, also if it wireless, they will be redact that microphone policy really quickly. or just set up in the bathroom and be like "since i can't leave my computer to use the bathroom i'll use the computer in the bathroom"
