To this day, one of the scariest monsters I’ve ever faced in a game is in the prison of Silent Hill 2. It’s trapped in a jail cell, making god awful groans and growls at you. You can’t see it, and it can’t hurt you, but you CAN kill it by shooting its helpless body through the bars. The fact that you NEVER get to know what it looked like has stuck with me to this day

If they keep everything exactly as it was and just update the graphics, it will be excellent. It was an absolutely perfect horror game, even down to the sluggish combat controls (which I felt were intentional). I loved the fact that it took so long to swing even a basic weapon, because it gave you the feeling that even though you had a ton of things to defend yourself with, you were still nearly helpless. I hope they keep the story exactly as it was and don’t alter it. That game is still my number 1 most favorite and scariest horror game I’ve ever played.

I remember playing silent hill 2 when I was like 10 while my older brother would sleep (cuz I wasn’t allowed to play). And I would get confused as to why I would walk and there here an extra pair of footsteps crunching leaves, always thinking there’s someone following me.

After the last line in this video I was like "yeah that's not going to be in the remake." I hope they do a great job and I did really like the trailer, but I'm still not sure what the final product is going to be like. I'm hopeful, but I'm not holding my breath either. It will be what it will be and none of us will know for sure until after it comes out.

I remember when I was in the apartments and I walked into the room that will sometimes have a man whispering and apparently it's rare. I was wearing headphones when it happened and I froze and a chill went down my spine. Then the game crashed.
