We all should be populist in some extend and I want to share with you why.
We see it in our newspapers, on TV, in our Facebook and especially twitter feeds: Populists make unrealistic, sometimes even radical statements.
They spread fake news and might even lie.
If populism is that far spread, populist must do something right. They get their messages across and are great communicators.

6 years later Germany is has border checks and The Netherlands has a populist running the country.

I am from The Netherlands. Populism is something that is 'cooking' for a long time. When renowned parties do not listen to the people, finally a populist will come the leader. A populist leader means many years of standing still while serious problems are not being handled. For me it is very clear that our future is in Europe. Of course I vote Volt. Many problems like immigration, defence, economy and environmental issues should be handle on EU level.

About migrations: Because lets me honest we Dutch think we have many migrants and refugees but clearly Italy, Greece, Spain and other mediterranean countries have the heavy load. Clearly there needs to come a solution for this crisis. Because this is only the beginning. My two cents would be a city or in Europe or in an African country one or two special city states like Hong Kong and Singapore. Refugees can life there. Build a future. And with the right amount of diploma's even enter the EU. These city states would potentially an economic power house so close to the EU.... ok..at least don't let every country do their own thing. We need unite. And we need start speaking English as a second language mandatory...
