Tootsie (1982) is a romantic comedic that tells the story of Michael Dorsey. He is a talented, struggling, volatile New York actor who dresses as a woman to get the paying gig of a lifetime and then falls madly in love with his costar, Julie, while playing a woman who is really a man.

Gosh too bad I discovered the movie like 5 days ago ! IM OBSESSED WITH IT SO MUCH ! I literally bought merchandise, posters, the movie, etc. How I wish I was born in the 80’s 😅 amazing movie (also you are great at acting !❤️)

Entertaining movie…I get a kick out of the Teri Garr character. Total screenwriter fantasy. Why exactly is she so eager to date Dustin Hoffman’s character? She was so sweet and pretty. Her guy friend of 6 years known for being volatile and argumentative just got secretly undressed in her bedroom while she showered. Of course her reaction is “I’m going to sleep with him immediately and be desperate for a relationship. He’s half my height, not exactly traditionally handsome, and can’t get an acting job to save his life bc he’s burned bridges all over the country. I’m so turned on right now” haha. Minor nitpick in an otherwise fun movie.

I don’t think it worked especially at the end when he gets the girl
