Hi, its all about original Depeche Mode samples and editing work to get this sound right, so main melody was original samples too - with combination PPG vst and then then sampled and edited. By the way - its hard to recreate Depeche Mode sound without having original sounds, because from 1983 most of their sounds was heavily layered. Sounds from 1990 - 1993 very unique, thats why their music with GREAT DAVE GAHAN vocals is so MONSTEROUS.

To recreate DM is to find their sound yourself... same way as other cover artists out there. It takes time, effort and patience to recapture the sound of 3 people (on varying keyboards) and consolidate everything in a single spread.
