The Rochester Marquette Challenge is a non-profit student-led organization. We have organized the March Lecture series to promote current professionals and share/promote physical therapy research. Donations are encouraged to help raise money to support physical therapy research and scholarships.

Dr. Megan Gill, PT, DPT, NCS, discusses her research on how recovering motor functions can have a significant impact on one’s health following a severe spinal cord injury (SCI). This presentation emphasizes recent evidence of functional gains achieved in the presence of spinal stimulation for individuals with chronic motor complete SCI. Tasks specific to standing and stepping as well as seated reaching abilities during spinal stimulation will be reviewed.
