From Rushhour with love, they say, but tempers fray and not much love is lost in the melee you get on Prospekt Mira towards Yaroslavskaya Chausee heading out of the centre even when it is an ordinary midweek evening and not even the bigger weekend rush-hour.

It is an advantage in Moscow if you can get a flat within walking distance from your place of work. I was pleased I could, where needed, get a trolleybus or a marshrutka home but most of the time I did walk and this helped me make my required number of Kms per week.
