1903 Martin Style 3 bowlback mandolin

This beaut is a 1903 Martin Style 3 bowlback mandolin. The style numbers are a little confusing with the mandolins from this era and so, from my observations, it could be somewhere between a 2 and 3 in terms of fanciness, but I’m guesstimating it’s a 3.

@gullicoal106 did most of the work on this one but I swooped in and did the final setup on it. It’s a gorgeous-sounding instrument and it has a great feel. It doesn’t hurt at all that it’s also a pretty face with a pearl-inlaid pickguard and rosewood bowl.
