Bratislava is the capital city of Slovakia, and today this is a very underestimated tourist destination. If you want to see the castles, European architecture, the real life of Slovak people, you should start searching for a good ticket to Bratislava. This city is well-known among tourists for its really low prices, cheap hotels, great restaurants with delicious local food, and wonderful calm evening walks.

We’ll show you a couple of places you might want to visit during your stay in this wonderful city. These are Bratislava Castle, of course, and also Old Town Hall, Eurovea Waterfront, Grassalkovich Palace, Blue Church, Slavin, Devin Castle, and also the Bratislava streets.

Try some local food, speak to friendly Slovak people, visit museums and art galleries and have a nice stay in one of the nicest cities in Europe. Bratislava may seem like a not very good idea for a city break, but it’s a wonderful place that you only need to understand once you are there.

Bratislava is great. I regret to chose Prague over BA for living. Prague seems like better choice but I am sun lover and BA is more sunny then Prague by big stretch in 350 sunny hour in the year, longer days and is warmer. Places around Danube and city are more serene. Is smaller and thus more accessible. There is ton of culture and Vienna just behind the corner if you are hungry for more. And if you work in Austria and live in BA you are doing better then in Prague any day.

...and there are much more... like UFO tower observation deck on the bridge over the Danube, city beach and park on the other side of the river (during the Summer), many beautiful parks, old bunkers around the city from the time between the world wars, abandoned rocket launch base at the top of the hill with hangars for rocket launchers, rotating restaurant with 360 degree panorama view in the radio tower, ww1 memorial and cemetery, several lakes for outdoor swimming, many different and amazing restaurants... and many more. And if you stay in Bratislava for a few more days, you can try to run, rollerskate or bike on the road alongside the Danube river or you can also try to take a boat ride to the Vienna and back.
