The look of this game takes me back to when those Scary Grandmother movies used to play on Cartoon Network back in middle school. Wish I heard of it sooner.

Love how Tim Burton inspired this is, even the use of swirls in the designs here is such a Tim Burton thing... hell even the music is like Danny Elfman... I can't believe I only found about this game now, what a hidden treasure.

Another game that's also very Burton-esque is Don't Starve, I'd also say Rayman 2 and especially 3 ( Hoodlum Havoc ) are also like that in a way.

Mona reminds me of Eva Gabor who players the character Lisa Douglas on the show green acres. Same French accent and same silly personality.

Oh, what a beautiful and wonderful game it was - such saturated backgrounds with over exaggerated clay-like models - definitely a strong Tim Burton's vibe was there. And for me being a fan of this type of animation and universal monsters themes, it was a natural gem. And lore was so generously rich and generous for paranormal fiction and easter eggs. The only minor setback is overabundance of jokes and snarks, but i can take it.
And the creator was so sure about it's success, that he purposely divided the almost finished sequel from this part of game and decided to use the same gimmick that "monkey island" from Lucas Arts used (since he was a part of the original team). But honestly it looked like the trick that the publishers of service games are doing now - taking a complete game, chopping it into bits and then selling them as separate DLC with full price. And by that time that a vampire story was produced, the quest genre was pretty much dead at that point, so it was stupid move from the begining.
But there's still hope at least for the sequel to appear, since there are still posts from the developer to this day that he's making progress (the last was 3 month ago with 43%being complete), but without a publisher and sponsors it would be hard to produce.

I remember they used to be games like this when I was a child in 2008 but honestly I don't remember this particular game, sad though because it looks like this game would have been a lot of fun to play and I really love the way they bring that vampire Castle to life he really looks amazing actually makes me hope they do make another part 2 and then she runs into oh I don't know a boy from the future Year 2022 can a vampire falls in love with the futuristic boy from 2022, I'm sorry I'm getting a little romantic again it just looks like it would have been a really good story if they made a number two which I hope one day they still will despite that I'm a sucker for medieval vampires like this!!!😢
