Dao has taught me to let go, and Buddha taught me compassion. I do not know which is more influential for me, I incorporate both in my life. Dao taught me Oneness, there is no separation.

I think it's so refreshing to find something so old that isn't obsessed with delusional superstitions but just honest. I think the religions were invented later to keep people from figuring out reality for themselves. Maybe most people need a noble lie, I really don't know at this point, but I'm sad Christianity won instead of this. Even the religious approach to Taoism seems better than religious Churchianity.

Daoism is not Vedic. They are separate systems. Nice try at syncretism bending small particles of historical truth through an L S D lens, but it doesn't work or stack up to the record.
