So awesome to see you diving in the deep end on Abercrombie! The Heroes is my favorite if I had to pick one, but the quality of the writing does get better and better. The Trouble With Peace was a masterclass IMO.

Thanks Elliott. Not read the Abercrombie standalones but I'm currently reading the second series and am now on the Trouble with Peace. If anything I'm enjoying them more than the first. The characters are just as well written if not more so. I believe the plot is a little more intricate but you never seem to get lost as it's written much more vividly than the first series. Sorry for my hamfistedness. I'll never make a great reviewer but hopefully some good times ahead for you :)

The Heroes is SO good. There is a lot of action but I think it’s Abercrombie’s best action writing (lots of those shifting POV chapters) but there are a lot of slow character scenes as well.

ALSO I can’t wait for you to get to The Age of Madness - The Trouble With Peace was truly exceptional!
