and after this modification: drop in tub, brick kobo. :-( The main reason I got a kobo aura h2o was because it's waterproof! My USB port went out, so I can't get the "connect to computer" screen. Oh well. I suspect that if you used some nice waterproof glue, instead of double sided tape, you might preserve the waterproofness.

I have a kobo glo. Never updated the firmware. Went on the kobo website yesterday I tried to update the firmware. The reader showing a screen “updating” but froze. I reset using a paper clip. It crashed, unresponsive, showing a dashed line down the verticle center of the screen. Can’t access its memory when attached to the computer.

I opened it up today, removed the 4 gb card, formatted it, installed the files (not books from another Glo, which works & isn’t updated), put the card back & turned on the Glo. This time lights still show it turning on, but nothing else. Screen stays off.

How can I fix this? There must be a way to install the proper firmware on this. Can it be unbricked?? Please get back to me.

Hi Segi, yo think the problem, whhen the reader stuck, is the SD card? Why the reader is in spanish? Tu eres de habla española? Thanks
