Over the next 200 years, we can expect all of the Earth's glaciers to disappear -- unless we act now, says writer Andri Snær Magnason. Telling the story of the Okjökull glacier in Iceland, the first glacier lost to climate change, Magnason explains why we need to start connecting to the future in a more intimate, urgent way in order to stabilize the Earth for generations to come.

I really do like this format better. It's more powerful than an expert on the red circle.

Sheesh, beautiful video and I got some goosebumps. Love the emphasis on generations - always breaks my heart knowing my kids will have to deal with this issue even worse than I want.

A copied comment:

"Over the course of Earth's life, there have been a total of five ice ages, each of them lasting for millions of years. During these Ice Ages, there are periods of glaciations and interglaciations. There are probably hundreds of these such periods in each ice age.

Currently, we are in the Quaternary Ice Age, and that has lasted for the last two million years. However, in this Ice Age, the most recent period of glaciation lasted from 110, 000 to around 10, 000 years ago. This period is popularly known as "the last ice age", and during this time ice was found at lower latitudes and elevations. Therefore, the last "ice age" was not technically an ice age, but rather a period of glaciation.

Outside of the aforementioned ice ages, the earth has been largely ice-free, even near the poles or at high altitudes. The fact that we live in a world with such a substantial amount of glaciers is somewhat unique.

There have also been periods where glaciers covered nearly the entire earth, and this phenomenon has been termed "snowball earth". One of these probably occurred during the Cryogenian Ice Age, about 700 million years ago."

I know that no one really cares, but I just wanted to remind everyone that Jesus loves you. So much. And He wants you to love Him back. He is the way, the truth, and the light, and my life has completely turned around.

I have no patience no more, I am starting to feel only rage towards ignorance concerning this issue as we witness it from people like Donald Trump

I disagree. We don't know what's to be done. Our population is too high. That fact is the elephant in the room that environmentalists never seem to address.
In my opinion, the best thing a person could do for our environment is to decide not to have children.

Of course not enough people would do that though. And no amount of recycling and paper straws will ever make a difference.
In the animal kingdom over population results in famine and plague.. For humans you must also add war.
So what can be done to reduce our population before its too late? Perhaps China just did their first trial run with Kovid 19.
