I know all these words along with their meaning and use but sometimes using fancy words in convos makes us look weird
When I can simply say I'm sad and my friends understand my emotions there's no need to use long vocabs like I'm disheartened/hopeless/unhappy etc as it just says that we're tryin to show off our eng vocab and look cool

While speaking eng we should say the word that can easily convey our emotions/message in the shortest possible ways

Yeah these words are good enough to be used in writing...like essays formal emails letters etc

Some words which are trendy in our era like hilarious in convos can be used during informal speech

When we use synonyms in Hindi people easy understand and appreciate our communication skills. I would say that all the fancy words have subtle meaning from the basic ones . When we talk funny it means a little chuckle whereas hilarious means laughing loudly or uncontrollable laugh, moving on effortless and easy . Easy basically means something that can anyone do and effortless means anyone can do by just having skills . We can't use them interchangeably .
